Pet End-of-Life & Hospice Care: Saying Goodbye
For many pet owners, the death of a pet can be heartbreaking. Whether your beloved pet has been with you for a lifetime or has been struck by tragedy in the prime of his or her life, saying goodbye is never easy.
At Statesboro Bulloch Regional Veterinary Hospital, we know the pain of losing a pet firsthand. We are pet owners too, and have experienced the loss of our furry family members ourselves. Because of this, our entire staff is dedicated to making your pet’s passing as painless and stress-free as possible—for both your pet and for you and your family.
Depending on the circumstances surrounding the end of your pet’s life, you may have some difficult decisions to make. And we will work with you to make an informed decision when it comes to your pet’s end-of-life care. No matter what you choose, you can rest assured that our compassionate staff will always respect your decision.
Statesboro Bulloch Regional Veterinary Hospital offers a strong pain management support program should you decide to care for your pet at home until the end. We will work with you in providing the necessary medications to keep your pet comfortable and as pain-free as possible during his or her final days, and provide you with the support you need when the time comes.
We also offer the option of in-home euthanasia, if you so choose. In order to minimize the stress of the circumstance on both you and your pet, we are willing to come to your home for the procedure, during our regular business hours.
Whatever the circumstance, please do not hesitate to contact us in your time of need.
And, when you’re ready, we hope you will light a candle in memory of pet and honor the life you shared together.
